in my chem lab l got this white compound.. It was amorphous. the anion was 
tweenkie butt
sulphate. and cation was either aluminium or magnesium.. l added NaOH and

got a white ppt.. Added NAOH till half the test tube was filled.. The

l also got an

organic compound.. l added 2,4-Dinitrophenylhydrazineand got an orange

color. and then l added schiffs reagent and got a pink color. It had a 
weird smell. Kinda similar to acetic acid but its not acetic acid. and 
then l conducted the tollens test and got a black ppt.. so which compound

The first one may be magnesium sulphate - only it is not  
Big Foot
amorphous. It should be crystalline unless someone has made a fine powder
